The wetLAN 130 series from LANGGUTH is the all-rounder among the wet glue labellers. Well suited to conical shapes such as pails, this labeler also handles angular canisters and round containers like paint cans. With the wetLAN 130 two magazine types are available.

Operation:

The labeler’s conveyor chain carries containers through the inline labeller. At the infeed a metering device creates a repeatable gap between containers, initiating progressive labelling processes. As a metered container is released a photo eye activates the label magazine. A label is separated from the stack in the magazine and guided into the glue roller. The glue roller applies a very thin and uniform glue layer onto the backside of the label. The conveyor chain speed and magazine label release are timed to achieve accurate label pick up by the container. Subsequent to label pick up, the container moves into the roll-on station where the label is securely affixed to the container.

Oscillating magazine – for lower and medium output range

In the oscillating magazine the label stacks are placed in upright position. During label release the magazine swivels forward so that the front label edge touches the glue layer on the rotating glue roller. Due to the adhesive force the label is separated and pulled from the magazine. Integrating optional inkjet or bar code scanning devices at the label feed position is ideal.

FVT 20 – for large labels

In the FVT 20 magazine labels are laid horizontally into the label magazine for pick up by a cycling vacuum bar equipped with multiple removable suction heads. The quantity of suction heads in use is determined by label length. This horizontal orientation allows easy change between labels with virtually no change parts even between the largest and smallest labels. When a label is picked the vacuum bar transfers the label vertically into a waiting position within the in a belt transfer station. Integrating optional inkjet or bar code scanning devices at the label feed position is ideal. The driven transfer belts and conveyor speed are timed with the glue roller to ensure accurate pick up of the label by the container.
