    Responsibilities:

    • Provide highest level of customer service

    • Maintain excellent customer relations

    • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues

    • Commission newly installed machines

    • Provide class-room and hands-on training to operators, maintenance mechanics and supervisors

    • Perform machine audits and create parts quotations

    • Efficiently troubleshoot and repair emergency breakdowns to maximize production uptime

    • Frequently travel to customer plants, mainly in the US, often on short notice

    • Self-arrange travel including flight, hotel and rental car

    • Periodically support the production of our labelers in Canada

    • Coordinate with our machine builders

    • Interpret mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings

    • Enter expenses and service reports into our ERP system

    • Maintain work areas to the highest housekeeping standards

    • Adhere to US and Canadian Health and Safety standards

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related industry is preferred

    • Good oral and written English communication skills

    • Works well in a team environment

    • Basic mathematical skills

    • High attention to detail

    • Able to interpret design drawings

    • Familiar with ERP systems

    • Own basic hand tools and travel case

    • Possess valid driver’s license and have own means of transportation

  • Langguth America Ltd is looking for a highly skilled machinist to join our growing team of specialists. Using drawings with tight tolerances, the successful candidate will manufacture precision parts for our labelling machines in accordance with our production schedule. Please note that special preference will be given to those familiar or experienced with the technique of using a manual mill to produce a unique profile onto rubber material after it has been adhered to cast aluminum.     Responsibilities:

    Carry out tasks according to production schedule maintained by Production Administrator

    Provide weekly updates during machine shop Organization meetings

    Set up and operate:

    • Lathe (manual)

    • Mill (manual & CNC using MACH3 software)

    • Drill press

    • Various other hand tools

    Manufacture precision parts according to drawings with tight tolerances

    Verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments

    Must be able to:

    • Ensure organized and efficient work flow

    • Communicate effectively with others

    • Maintain work area to the highest standards

    • Adhere to Health and Safety standards

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Must be able to use a computer to:

    • Enter daily time logs against jobs

    • Print and submit weekly timesheets to Operations manager

    Qualifications:

    3+ years’ machinist experience, preferably in a related industry

    Basic mathematical skills required to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification, including imperial and metric drawings

    Must have own vehicle

    Must be able to work independently from drawing to finished part

    Good oral and written English communication skills

    Forklift license an asset

    Welding experience an asset
